Get involved in the union

The union is run by members for members. Want to get involved? We have 3 committees you can join:

• Member Outreach Committee - This committee handles any and all issues related to membership. We organize outreach to new employees and conduct new employee orientations, create and distribute content for our website and social media accounts, organize events such as our monthly happy hours and quarterly general membership meetings, and more! This is a large committee with something for everyone, whether you want to engage with others or work behind the scenes. • Hardship fund -  We have a $50,000 hardship fund each year of our contract to help our members through tough times, including childcare, food, housing, or transportation insecurity. This committee evaluates the applications for the hardship fund. Interested in joining this committee? Contact John Cheney (treasurer@rwu6022.org) for more information. 
• Labor Management Committee - This committee is designed to get the union and OHSU to work together on issues that arise during the contract to avert grievances. This will also be a place we can bring up disagreements about how the contract is being implemented and any other issues that arise that we want to work together on a solution.
